Dalam rangka mengenalkan sekaligus memperkuat peran strategis transportasi darat di wilayah Sulawesi Utara, Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Darat, Kementerian Perhubungan (Kemenhub) menyelenggarakan Kegiatan Press Tour Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Darat 2024 dengan tema “Sinergi Pers – Ditjen Hubdat Dalam Perkuat Peran Strategis Transportasi Darat” pada tanggal 5 – 7 Februari 2024 di Manado Sulut.
“Transportasi darat adalah urat nadi pembangunan. Semua sektor pembangunan sangat bergantung pada sektor transportasi. Maka dari itu perannya sangat strategis dan tentu perlu dukungan dari stakeholders terkait, salah satunya yaitu rekan-rekan media,” ujar Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Darat, Amirulloh saat membacakan sambutannya di Manado, Senin (5/2).
Ia menyampaikan, selama ini Kementerian Perhubungan termasuk Ditjen Perhubungan Darat tidak hanya membangun Pulau Jawa, tetapi juga luar Pulau Jawa seperti yang diamanatkan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia, sebagai contoh pembangunan fasilitas transportasi darat di Sulawesi Utara seperti adanya Terminal Tipe A Tangkoko yang dijuluki “Terminal Rasa Bandara”.
“Sulawesi Utara ini erat kaitannya dengan sektor pariwisata, oleh karena itu Ditjen Hubdat juga memberikan dukungan angkutan antarmoda Kawasan Strategis Pariwisata Nasional (KSPN) dan dukungan di Daerah Pariwisata Super Prioritas Likupang. Untuk menyukseskan dukungan ini juga diperlukan sinergi dan kolaborasi dengan pemerintah daerah dan juga pengamat transportasi,” tambahnya.
Ia berharap melalui kegiatan ini media dapat turut serta mendukung menyuarakan sarana dan prasarana transportasi darat yang telah dibangun selama ini sehingga diketahui oleh masyarakat lebih luas dan bisa bermanfaat bagi masyarakat setempat ataupun wisatawan.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Kepala Bagian Hukum dan Humas, Aznal mengatakan, pada Press Tour kali ini para wartawan diberikan pengenalan dan pengalaman langsung dalam melihat dan merasakan layanan transportasi darat di Sulawesi Utara.
Adapun, kegiatan yang diikuti oleh 11 wartawan dari berbagai media nasional ini merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan media relation dalam memberi pemahaman informasi, menjembatani dan menjalin hubungan baik antara Ditjen Perhubungan Darat dengan media atau pewarta untuk melihat secara langsung perkembangan dan pembangunan di sektor transportasi darat, dengan harapan mendapatkan publikasi yang maksimal dan berimbang.
“Adapun pada kegiatan ini, selain adanya Media Briefing juga rekan-rekan media kami ajak berkunjung ke Pelabuhan Penyeberangan Bitung, Terminal Tipe A Tangkoko, UPPKB Wangurer, serta beberapa lokasi wisata dengan menggunakan angkutan antarmoda Damri KSPN,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Balai Pengelola Transportasi Darat Kelas II Sulawesi Utara, Sri Hardianto menuturkan, Sulawesi Utara merupakan wilayah dengan kekayaan alam dan potensi wisata yang banyak sehingga perlu didukung oleh sisi transportasi, akomodasi, fasilitas pelayanan dan promosi wisata.
Pada kesempatan ini, Kepala Seksi Penyediaan Angkutan, Jaringan dan Tarif Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, Noldy Steylan Sulu mengutarakan ke depan kebijakan umum transportasi di Sulawesi Utara berorientasi pada pengembangan wilayah.
“Akan ada pembangunan ATCS, pembangunan Jembatan Penyeberangan Orang, pembangunan sarana transportasi perkotaan, pembangunan terminal barang Manado, pembangunan jaringan transportasi pesisir serta pengadaan dan pemasangan perlengkapan jalan demi meningkatkan keselamatan dan pelayanan transportasi yang lebih baik,” papar Noldy.
Adapun Pengamat Transportasi, Djoko Setijowarno pada kegiatan ini juga menyampaikan bahwa kini di Sulawesi Utara terdapat 10 layanan trayek angkutan jalan perintis dengan 22 kendaraan dan 3 trayek angkutan KSPN Likupang.
“Dengan layanan transportasi darat yang ada sekarang di rasa masih kurang dan belum memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat.
